What age can my child start drum lessons?
Most children start from age 5, and we also teach adults who are picking up an instrument for the first time. Lessons are one-to-one, so the pace is set by the student.
Do I need my own drum kit?
Drum kits are provided in the studio. Owning an instrument helps you practise at home between lessons.
Can I take graded exams in drums?
Yes. Rockschool (RSL) offers drums grades, with GC as an exam centre. Trinity College London offers rock & Pop drums grades. Your teacher prepares you and the office handles registration. Exams are optional.
Who teaches drums at GC Music Academy?
Asmadi, Azlan, Jayson, Amar, Harith, Farhan, Keeshen and Eddie teach drums at our TTDI and 1 Utama branches. You can ask for a particular teacher in the enrolment form.
Where are the lessons?
At our two branches: TTDI (14B, Jalan Tun Mohd Fuad, Taman Tun Dr Ismail) and 1 Utama (Lot S303C, 2nd Floor, New Wing, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya).
How do I enrol?
Fill in the enrolment form at portal.gc-musicacademy.com/enrolment/register. Our office will contact you, usually on WhatsApp, with a teacher, a weekly lesson time and the fees.
