Common questions about classical guitar lessons
Anything else? Ask us on WhatsApp.
What age can my child start classical guitar lessons?
Most children start from age 5, and we also teach adults who are picking up an instrument for the first time. Lessons are one-to-one, so the pace is set by the student.
Do I need my own classical guitar?
Bring your own guitar, or ask us about one for lessons. Owning an instrument helps you practise at home between lessons.
Can I take graded exams in classical guitar?
Yes. ABRSM offers classical guitar grades. Trinity College London offers classical guitar grades. Your teacher prepares you and the office handles registration. Exams are optional.
Who teaches classical guitar at GC Music Academy?
Asmadi, Azlan, Nizam, Shuang, Huan, Yee Piew, Khairul and Wan Jun teach classical guitar at our TTDI and 1 Utama branches. You can ask for a particular teacher in the enrolment form.
