Common questions about acoustic guitar lessons
Anything else? Ask us on WhatsApp.
What age can my child start acoustic guitar lessons?
Most children start from age 5, and we also teach adults who are picking up an instrument for the first time. Lessons are one-to-one, so the pace is set by the student.
Do I need my own acoustic guitar?
Bring your own guitar, or ask us about one for lessons. Owning an instrument helps you practise at home between lessons.
Can I take graded exams in acoustic guitar?
Yes. Rockschool (RSL) offers acoustic guitar grades, with GC as an exam centre. Trinity College London offers rock & Pop guitar grades. Your teacher prepares you and the office handles registration. Exams are optional.
Who teaches acoustic guitar at GC Music Academy?
Asmadi, Azlan, Nizam, Jayson, Mr Wong, Shuang, Huan, Yee Piew, Khairul, Hanif, Wan Jun, Amar, Ryan, Rysham and Eddie teach acoustic guitar at our TTDI and 1 Utama branches. You can ask for a particular teacher in the enrolment form.
Where are the lessons?
At our two branches: TTDI (14B, Jalan Tun Mohd Fuad, Taman Tun Dr Ismail) and 1 Utama (Lot S303C, 2nd Floor, New Wing, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya).
