Common questions about singing lessons
Anything else? Ask us on WhatsApp.
What age can my child start singing lessons?
Most children start from age 5, and we also teach adults who are picking up an instrument for the first time. Lessons are one-to-one, so the pace is set by the student.
Do I need my own microphone?
Microphones are available in the studio. Owning an instrument helps you practise at home between lessons.
Can I take graded exams in singing?
Yes. ABRSM offers singing grades. Trinity College London offers singing and Rock & Pop vocals grades. Rockschool (RSL) offers vocals grades. Your teacher prepares you and the office handles registration. Exams are optional.
Who teaches singing at GC Music Academy?
Kary, Emellyn and Roshini teach singing at our TTDI and 1 Utama branches. You can ask for a particular teacher in the enrolment form.
